COLUMBIA, S.C. (October 12, 2024) – On Saturday, the Truett McConnell University men's soccer team, traveled to face Appalachian Athletic Conference opponent Columbia International University, where the Bears secured a 2-0 win over the Rams. TMU rises to an overall record of 9-3-2, 7-2-1 AAC.

The Bears wasted no time in the first half, putting themselves on the board in the eighth minute with a goal by
Jose Ventura, assisted by
Nils Waltemode and
Max Farris (1-0). Fueled by their early momentum, TMU continued to capitalize on their lead adding another one to the board by
Oscar Brennan, assisted by
Hendrik Metje and Farris. In the second half, TMU remained sharp on defense, working together to record five saves and holding CIU to no goals to record another shut-out victory (2-0).

Ventura and Brennan led the way for TMU recording one goal apiece. Farris followed with two assists, while Metje and Waltemode had one assist a piece. Keeper
Euan Brindley was featured tallying six saves.
