CLEVELAND, Ga. (October 9, 2024) - The No. 22 Truett McConnell University women's soccer team hosted Appalachian Athletic Conference opponent Johnson University on Wednesday, where the Lady Bears collected a big win with a score of 7-0. TMU is currently sitting at an overall record of 10-1-2, 9-0-1 AAC, along with maintaining a seven game win streak.
PLAY-BY-PLAY
Eliska Dvorakova sparked the first half for the Lady Bears, capable of finding the back of net in the seventh minute of play, assisted by Amayia Lukie. The 11th minute saw Brianna Hernandez with her first goal of the game, while the 35th minute saw Hernandez with the same speed as she scored her second goal of the day. Lindsey Fowler closed the half for TMU with a successful shot at goal off a ball from Peyton Brooks. Dvorakova was the opening act in the second half with her second goal of the game, assisted by Ashley Johnson, followed by a goal from Johnson and a final goal from Annabel Trauschke from a penalty kick shot to make the score 7-0.
LEADERS
Dvorakova led the way with two goals and four shots, three on goal, while Hernandez recorded two goals of her own. Trauschke, Fowler and Johnson individually had one goal apiece, along with Johnson and Lukie recording one assist apiece.
