CLEVELAND, Ga. (October 9, 2024) - On Wednesday, the Truett McConnell University men's soccer team hosted Johnson University for an Appalachian Athletic Conference match-up, where the Bears took down the Royals 4-0. TMU rises to an overall record of 8-3-2, 6-2-1 AAC.

In the first half, TMU was first on the board when a shot by Oscar Brennan found its way into the net, assisted by Hendrik Metje in the 24th minute (1-0). The Bears continued to carry their momentum throughout the half, taking every chance at goal, when a blocked shot by Toby Berry gave Gavin Eddy a second chance to shoot past the Royals keeper to secure goal two (2-0). In the second half, the Bears scored two more goals by Jose Ventura (Jez Walker-Paterson) and Brennan (Ventura, Farris), ultimately proving capable of securing a shutout victory, 4-0.
LEADERS
Brennan led the way for the Bears with two goals and three shots. Ventura followed with one goal and one assist, while Eddy tallied one goal. Walker-Paterson, Metje, and Farris all recorded one assist apiece.Â
