CLEVELAND, Ga. (January 27, 2023) – On Saturday, the Truett McConnell University wrestling team hosted the Appalachian Athletic Conference Duals, where the Bears were featured finishing 1-2 on the day after besting St. Andrews University (28-14) and falling to St. Thomas University (42-12) and No. 4 Southeastern University (48-6).
 
Most notable, junior Will Parker was featured securing a pin against St. Thomas in the final 45 seconds of the matchup, as well as a decision win (12-10) over St. Andrews. Junior Stanley Lal followed with a technical fall over St. Andrews (18-2), while Frankie Salcedo (14-3) and Spencer Fields (10-1) were seen contributing major decision wins over St. Andrews. Leonel Silvestre rounded out the top performances from TMU with a decision win over SAU (14-9). 
 
Up next, the Bears will travel to Brewton-Parker College on Friday, February 2, for an AAC match-up. Match time set for 3:00 p.m.
