CLEVELAND, Ga. (March 18, 2023) - On Saturday, the Truett McConnell university women's lacrosse team hosted Reinhardt University for an Appalachian Athletic Conference match-up, where the Lady Bears suffered a tough loss of 32-2 against the Eagles.

In the first quarter, Reinhardt was first to take the lead, but a goal by Shelby Nail kept the Lady Bears in the game (13-1). In the second quarter, eager to increase the gap, Reinhardt scored nine more goals, forcing the Lady Bears to work hard from behind (22-1)
In the third quarter, the Lady Bears held the Eagles to eight goals as they headed into the fourth quarter, 30-1. In the final quarter, a last chance effort by Nail attempted to decrease the scoring deficit, but it wasn't enough, resulting in a final score of 34-2.
LEADERS
Nail led the way with two goals, taking two shots, all on goal, and five ground balls. Kaitlyn Morgenroth followed, taking two shots, one on goal and two ground balls. Katie Smith had four ground balls. Goalie Mackenzie Tyler had nine saves on the day.
Up next, the Lady Bears are back in action at home on Wednesday, March 22, as they face Emmanuel College for a non-conference match-up, inside the TMU Soccer/Lacrosse Complex. Game time set for 5:00 p.m.
