CLEVELAND, GA. (February 13, 2023) - On Monday, the Truett McConnell University men's volleyball team hosted Life University, inside the Harris Athletic Complex. The Bears battled the Eagles in all three matches, unfortunately falling to a final score of 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-19). 

PLAY-BY-PLAY

Two Life errors followed by a kill from Alex Bosman gave TMU a quick lead at the start of set one (0-3). It didn't take Life long to respond with points of their own to steal the lead, but the Bears stayed in the game with a kill from Jackson Adams and Nathan Hill (21-16). A final kill from Kyle Gregory proved TMUs final shot at the win, but was not enough as they fell 25-18. Both teams were neck and neck for the entire set with the score evening at 12-12, until the Eagles ran away with a heavy lead (17-12). Two consecutive kills from Bosman saw the Bears down by three (19-16), but once again the Ages stole the win with a score of 25-19. In the final set, the Bears he'd their own by keeping the score close, but ultimately fell 25-19 and concluded the match 3-0. 

LEADERS

Bosman led the way with eight kills and 10 digs, while Gregory recorded eight kills and Adams recorded five kills and 11 digs. Wensky Saintilmond has an astounding 21 assists, followed by Jakob Lee who had nine digs.

The Bears are back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 21, where they will travel to face Reinhardt University at 7:00p.m.
