CLEVELAND, Ga. (February 20, 2023) – On Monday, the Truett McConnell University men's volleyball team traveled to face Appalachian Athletic Conference rival Reinhardt University, where the Bears fell in three tough sets (10-25, 12-25, 20-25). TMU falls to a record of 1-9, 0-6 AAC, while the Eagles rise to 11-2, 4-2 AAC.
PLAY-BY-PLAY
The Eagles took a quick lead over the Bears, but a kill from Kyle Gregory worked to cut at the deficit. A kill from Alex Bosman and Jackson Adams slowly worked at the large margin, while a final kill from Nathan Hill was not enough (10-25). In set two, TMU worked quickly with a kill from Gregory to remain even in play. A three-point rally saw a kill from Hill to bring the Bears within one. Kills from Adam Shuman and Bosman sparked a rally for the Bears, but the Eagles responded with a 10-point rally of their own (12-25). In the final set, the Bears were first on the board with a kill from Bosman. A three-point rally saw a kill and service ace from Bosman to recapture the lead. Both teams were neck-and-neck seeing kills from Hill, Bosman and Adams which sparked hope for the Bears, but TMU was unable to respond to the Eagles, falling in set three to a final score of 20-25.
LEADERS
Bosman led the way with six kills and one service ace, while Hill tallied four kills. Adams tallied four kills while Wensky Saintilmond recorded one service ace and 18 assists.

The Bears travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. on Thursday, February 23 for a non-conference match-up against Carolina University. Match time is set for 6:00 p.m.
