CLEVELAND, Ga. (October 18, 2023) – The No. 20 Truett McConnell University women's soccer team hosted Appalachian Athletic Conference opponent Bryan College on Wednesday, where the Lady Bears wasted no time in securing their fourth straight AAC win with a final score of 4-0. TMU improved their overall record to 12-2-2, 11-0-1 AAC, while the Lions dropped to a record of 6-8-1.Â

The Lady Bears started the game hot with eight shots, five on goal. TMU stayed resilient as they dominated on offense, capable of hitting the board in the 14th minute of play after a ball from
Eliska Dvorakova connected with
Nadiia Ivanchenko to make the score 1-0. Ivanchenko continued to gain speed as she added to the Lady Bears lead with a picture perfect shot from a free kick just outside the box (2-0). TMU did not back down with multiple shots taken at goal, featuring a penalty kick shot from
Ashley Johnson in the 42nd minute which proved successful as the score increased to 3-0. The half closed out with a sharp shot by Dvorakova which was blocked by Bryan, but remained in play and offered Johnson the opportunity she needed to find the back of the net once more (4-0). The second half saw the Lady Bears waste no time as they recorded 13 more shots, ultimately allowing the Lions no chance at bridging the gap as the game was out of reach with a final score of 4-0. Â

Ivanchenko led the way with two goals, five shots, four on goal, while Johnson recorded two goals of her own and three shots on goal. Dvorakova was seen tallying one assist and six shots, three on goal, followed by
