COLUMBIA, S.C. (September 24, 2022)- The Truett McConnell University women's soccer team traveled to face Appalachian Athletic Conference competitor Columbia International University, where the Lady Bears struck early for a 3-0 victory. TMU improves to a record of 5-2-1, 4-0 AAC, while the Rams fall to 4-1-1, 2-1-0 AAC.
PLAY BY PLAY
In the first period, the Lady Bears were hot out of the gates with a goal from Sydney League, assisted by Kristin Beasley, in the first five minutes of play (1-0). Nadiia Ivanchenko took three corner kicks, followed by a shot on goal from Ivanchenko. In the 28th minute, Moriah Logue, assisted by Eliska Dvorakova, scored the second goal of the day (2-0). Lindsey Fowler scored the final goal of the day in the 36th minute, sending the Lady Bears ahead 3-0 going into the half.
In the second period, TMU outshot the Rams 6-1. A shot on goal from Brianna Hernandez, followed by another shot that just missed wide gave TMU another opportunity. The Lady Bears continued to be aggressive on offense. A shot on goal from Annabel Kesinger rounded out the evening, giving TMU a 3-0 victory over the Rams.
LEADERS
Fowler and Logue led the way with two shots, one on goal, and one goal apiece. League recorded one shot, one on goal, and one goal on the evening. Ivanchenko and Hernandez each recorded two shots, one on goal as well.

The Lady Bears remain on the road to face AAC opponent Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee on Wednesday, September 28. Kick-off is set for 5:00 p.m.
