WALESKA, Ga. (April 2, 2022) — The Truett McConnell University Lacrosse team traveled to compete against Appalachian Athletic Conference foe, No. 5 Reinhardt University, on Saturday. The Lady Bears put up a fight, ultimately suffering a hard loss with a final score of 24-5.
PLAY-BY-PLAY
The Eagles started off hot putting up three goals, but Sophie Beach fought back with a good goal making the score 3-1. Eager to increase the scoring deficit, the Eagles ended the quarter by scoring six more goals (9-1). In the second quarter, Reinhardt put up five goals, while Cameron Lee was able to find the back of the net in the final seconds making the score 14-2 going into the half.
In the third quarter the score gap was increased by seven goals as the Eagles offense continued to push forward. Beach secured another goal in the last few minutes of the third (21-3). In the final quarter Beach and Lee shot two more good goals, ultimately not enough resulting in a final score of 24-5.
LEADERS
Beach led the way with three goals, taking five shots, all on goal, with two ground balls. Lee followed with two goals and one ground ball. Hope Frady had one assist and four ground balls, followed by Holly Foster who also had one assist and two ground balls. Goalie Madison Franklin had ten saves on the day.

The Lady Bears are back in action at home, hosting conference opponent St. Andrews University, Wednesday, April 6th. Game time is set for 4:00 pm at the TMU Soccer/Lacrosse Complex.
