SAVANNAH, Ga. (April 9, 2022) — On Saturday, the Truett McConnell university lacrosse team traveled to compete in their final regular season match up against SCAD university, where the Lady Bears fought hard but ultimately fell to a loss of 27-3.
PLAY-BY-PLAY
The Lady Bears started out hot, making their first goal by Hope Frady. SCAD pushed back to keep the Bears from getting farther ahead, scoring four goals of their own at the end of the first-quarter. (4-1) Eager to increase the scoring deficit, SCAD scored 10 good goals in the second. Frady, in hopes of closing the gap, scored two more goals of her own. Making the score 14-3 going into the half.
In the third and fourth quarter SCAD kept the Bears scoreless, while scoring many goals of their own. The Lady Bears played with heart but it was ultimately not enough to bring home the win suffering to a final score of 27-3.
LEADERS
Frady led the way with three goals, taking six shots with four on goal. Cameron Lee and Holly Foster followed taking two shots a piece. Goalie Madison Franklin had 17 saves on the day.
UP NEXT
The Lady Bears will now look to postseason play in the ACC tournament which is set to begin Thursday, April 14. TMU's opening round opponent is to be determined.
