CLEVELAND, Ga. (February 5, 2022) – The Truett McConnell University men's volleyball team hosted their first conference matchup on Saturday, where they faced St. Andrews University, inside the TMU Volleyball/Wrestling Arena. The Bears fought hard through three sets, ultimately falling to the Knights 25-11, 25-18, 27-25.

PLAY-BY-PLAY
The first set saw the Knights take an early lead (4-0), but the Bears closed the gap with an ace from Jackson Adams, followed by a kill from Nathan Hill (5-11). The Knights were able to steal the first set with a last-minute kill attempt from Hill (11-25). Set two continued to see the Knights gain momentum, where kills from Owen Nobles and Adams proved not enough as TMU fell in set two (18-25). The third and final set was a back and forth match between both teams.  The Bears were first to score, featuring kills from Adams, Kaleb Mitchell and Ryan Stokes. TMU went on a six-point run, including a service ace from Nobles. A final three-point rally with a kill from Adams kept the Bears ahead by one, but ultimately fell 27-25.

LEADERS
Mitchell had five kills and seven digs. Adams recorded four kills, Nobles had four kills and Saintilmond had 13 assists.
