WALESKA, Ga. (February 12, 2022) – The Truett McConnell University men's volleyball team competed in day two of their road trip, where they faced conference opponent, Georgetown College. The Bears suffered a match loss after three sets, 7-25, 11-25 and 6-25, and fell to 0-5, 0-4 MSC, while the Cougars rose to 7-4, 3-1 MSC.
PLAY-BY-PLAY
In the first set, the Bears were hit hard by an aggressive Cougars team. TMU fell behind quickly, but were able to secure a two-point rally. A kill from Kaleb Mitchell and Jackson Adams were timely, but proved not enough for the Bears, leaving them to fall 7-25 in the first set. In set two, TMU was the first to strike with a block from Owen Nobles and Ryan Stokes. The Bear stayed close with a kill from Adams and Mitchell. The Cougars were able to break away with a five point rally, but TMU responded with more kills from Adams and Mitchell. A late kill from Wensky Saintilmond was not enough, leaving the Bears to fall 11-25. In the final set, the Cougars were hot out of the gates with an eight-point rally. A kill from Nathan Hill put the Bears back on track, while a final kill from Stokes left TMU to fall 6-25.
LEADERS
Adams and Mitchell had two kills apiece, followed by Saintilmond with one kill of his own. Hill tallied four digs on the day, followed by Saintilmond and Nobles with two digs apiece.

The Bears return inside the TMU Volleyball/Wrestling Arena on Tuesday, Feb15, where they will go face to face with MSC foe, Life University. Match time set for 7:00 p.m.
