CLEVELAND, Ga. (February 15, 2022) - The Truett McConnell University men's volleyball team battled through three sets against Life University on Tuesday, inside the TMU Volleyball/Wrestling Arena. The Bears suffered three straight losses, gaining momentum in the third set to keep the score close (25-9, 25-11, 25-19).Â

Set one saw Ryan Stoke lead with a kill, but the Eagles only gained speed for the remainder, securing the first win with a score of 9-25. In the second set, Life did not back down, taking multiple strong runs, while
Jackson Adams and
Owen Nobles fought back for TMU (11-25). In the third and final set, the Bears shifted gears to force the Eagles to defend their sid eof the court. TMUÂ took a four point run late in the set, featuring Life errors and a Stokes kill, followed by a service ace from
Owen Nobles and kill from
Kaleb Mitchell. A final kill from Mitchell proved not enough as TMU fell to a score of 19-25 in set three.Â
LEADERS
Mitchell led with six kills, while Adams had four kills, Stokes had two kills and Nobles had one kill.
Wensky Saintilmond recorded 12 assists, followed by
Nathan Hill who had 12 digs.Â
