CLEVELAND, Ga. (December 2, 2022) – On Friday, the Truett McConnell University wrestling team went face to face with Presbyterian College, where the Bears stayed resilient but ultimately fell to a final score of 41-0.  

Most notable, freshman Phillip Terrell showed his grit in the 285 weight class, forcing the match into overtime with a final second takedown to even the score (5-5). Overtime saw both competitors give their all, while Presbyterian finished on top with a final score of 5-7. 

Senior Leonel Silvestre battled through three tough periods in the 149 weight class, where a hot final set proved not enough as he fell short by slim margins (3-5).
