CLEVELAND, Ga. (November 5, 2022)- The No. 1 Truett McConnell University women's soccer team hosted Appalachian Athletic Conference opponent No. 9 Milligan University on Saturday for the AAC Tournament Quarterfinals, where the Lady Bears soared past the Buffaloes with a 3-0 victory. TMU rises to a record of 15-2-1, while advancing to the AAC semifinals.

PLAY BY PLAY
The first half saw the Lady Bears aggressive on offense with 14 shots, opposed to Milligan's one shot, along with earning four corner kicks. TMU struggled to find the back of the net until the 18^th minute when Eliska Dvorakova battled in the box to put the Lady Bears on the board (1-0). The Lady Bears forced the Buffs to work on defense with shots on goal from Lindsey Fowler and Ashley Johnson, while the score remained 1-0 at the half.
TMU did not slow down as a cross from Dvorakova set Nadiia Ivanchenko up for a picture perfect header to make the score 2-0 within the first four minutes of the second half. The Lady Bears were persistent on offense with three corner kicks, followed by a shot on goal from Kristin Beasley and Sydney League. With offense firing on all cylinders, the third and final goal was shot by Dvorakova, assisted by League, in the 68^th minute to put the game out of reach (3-0). TMU followed the action with eight more shots, while ultimately securing the win with a final score of 3-0 to advance to the AAC semifinals.

LEADERS
Dvorakova led the way with two goals, seven shots, four on goal, and one assist. Ivanchenko recorded a single goal, while League tallied three shots, two on goal and one assist. Johnson tallied four shots, three on goal, followed by Kendra Wilbert and Moriah Logue who had three shots apiece.
