CLEVELAND, Ga. (October 12, 2022)- The Truett McConnell University women's soccer team returned to the TMU Soccer Complex to host Appalachian Athletic Conference member Columbia College, where the Lady Bears remain perfect in AAC play with a 3-0 victory. TMU improves to a record of 9-2-1, 8-0 AAC, while the Koalas fall to 4-4-2, 3-4-1 AAC .
PLAY-BY-PLAY
In the first period, the Lady Bears were hot on offense with their first goal of the evening in the 18th minute from
Nadiia Ivanchenko, assisted by
Sydney League (1-0). The Lady Bears continued to gain speed, outshooting the Koalas 16-0. A corner kick from
Lindsey Fowler and
Eliska Dvorakova provided hope, where a shot from
Marisol Esparza sent TMU into the half ahead, 1-0.
In the second period, TMU scored their second goal of the day on a penalty kick from Ivanchenko to increase the deficit (2-0).
Sydney League had a quick turn around for the final goal of the evening in the 51st minute (3-0). The Koalas worked hard, but the Lady Bears were ahead for good, capturing a 3-0 victory over Columbia.Â
LEADERS
Ivanchenko led the way with two shots, two on goal, and two goals. League recorded two shots, one on goal, and one goal. Dvorakova followed with four shots, one on goal.

The Lady Bears remain inside the TMU Soccer Complex on Saturday, October 15 to host AAC foe Union College. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
