CLEVELAND, Ga. (January 15, 2022)- The Truett McConnell University men's basketball team hosted Toccoa Falls College on Saturday inside the Benjamin F. Brady Arena, where the Bears dominated over the Eagles for a 84-58 victory. TMU rose to an overall record of 10-8.

Both teams were even in play for the entire first half, with TMU reaching small leads after a good free throw from EJ Smith and jump shot from KJ Riley, followed by two shots in the paint from Raul Arias-Ortega and a good free throw from Enocka Franky. The Bears reached a 12 point lead from after a Kafunba Toure dunk, finishing the half up 40-31. The second half saw TMUÂ continue to dominate, featuring multiple Brent Kelly and EJ Smith shots from the three-point arc. In the final minutes, TFC worked hard to decrease the lead, but the game ended with a Franky Dunk to secure a 73-61 victory over the Eagles.Â
LEADERS
Franky led with a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds, while Brent Kelly recorded 16 points, nine stellar assists, three steals and went 3-4 at the three-point arc. Arias-Ortega followed with 12 points and Toure had 10 points with six rebounds, three blocks and two steals. Smith had seven points with two steals and two assists, while Cory Seitz had six points with two assists.Â

The Bears will hit the road on Thursday, Jan. 20, where they will face AAC competitor, Bryan College, with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m.
