Men’s volleyball loses first match of Florida trip

BABSON PARK, Fla. (Mar. 3, 2021) – The Truett McConnell University men's volleyball team traveled to Florida for back-to-back Mid-South Conference matchups against Webber International University and Warner University. The Bears fell in three straight (25-7, 25-13, 25-9) to the Warriors on Thursday evening, which put TMU at 0-7, 0-7 MSC on the season and Webber International improved to 5-6, 3-3 MSC.
 
TMU will face Warner University on Saturday, March 6.
 
Although the Bears earned the first two points of the first set, the Warriors went on a 13-2 scoring run to gain enough momentum to win their first game of the night. The second set, however, saw TMU score as many as 13 points but the Warriors capitalized at the net taking their second win on a pair of kills. Webber International ultimately went on to secure to the sweep after opening up the third set on a 7-2 run.
 
Kaleb Mitchell led offensively with five kills, while Wensky Saintilmond was credited five assists. Saintilmond led with three digs, while Mitchell and Ethan Conners added two digs apiece. Kyle Trammell led with two blocks.
