LAURINBURG, N.C. (Mar. 27, 2021) – The Truett McConnell University women's lacrosse team traveled to St. Andrews University, who currently ranks second in the Appalachian Athletic Conference standings, on Saturday. The Lady Bears fell 21-10 to the Knights, which put TMU at 3-2, 3-2 AAC and SAU at 6-4, 5-1 AAC on the season.

PLAY-BY-PLAY
The Knights scored within the first three minutes of the game (0-1), but less than one minute later
Hope Foster found the back of the net to tie it up 1-1, which was a goal assisted by sophomore
Sophie Beach.
Carter Culverhouse scored another goal, assisted by
Holly Foster, for TMU one minute later (2-1), but that was the last time the Lady Bears held any type of lead the rest of the way. SAU scored nine more goals, to TMU's four, the remainder of the first half to lead by four at halftime (6-10).

After an immediate draw control by Culverhouse,
Cameron Lee scored within the first 20 seconds of the second half (7-10). It was only up from there, however, for St. Andrews. The Knights scored nine unanswered goals (7-19) before Lee scored again for TMU with seven minutes remaining (8-19). Lee and
Holly Foster scored again in the final two minutes of regulation (10-21) but it proved not enough.

LEADERS
The Lady Bears were outshot by 10 (34-24) and were individually led by Lee who had four goals. Culverhouse, Lee and
Holly Foster all led with six shots apiece. Culverhouse led with seven draw controls and five ground balls.
Hope Foster also had five ground balls.

TMU is back on the road Wednesday, Mar. 31, at No. 1 SCAD-Savannah before returning home on Friday, April 2, to face Point University at 6:00 p.m.
