CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (Feb. 26, 2021) – The Truett McConnell University men's volleyball team faced Bluefield College on Friday afternoon for match one of the Mid-South Conference Pod hosted by Campbellsville University. The Bears battled but fell in three straight sets to the Rams (25-14, 25-15, 25-21), which put them at 0-4, 0-4 MSC and the Rams at 4-4, 1-1 MSC on the year.
 
Bluefield went on two early 4-0 scoring runs to gain enough momentum to keep the lead throughout all of set one (14-25). Game two, however, saw the Bears go on a 4-0 scoring run themselves, which included a Brice Dollar single block, to trail by a single point (7-8). The Rams rallied to lead by as much as 10 and though a Kyle Trammell kill sparked a late TMU 5-0 scoring run (15-23), Bluefield's offense sealed the deal with a pair of kills for their second win (15-25).
 
Game three was the tightest set of the Bears' season thus far. TMU trailed by as little one point mid-set (15-16) and as little as three later on (20-23), but once again, the Rams capitalized at the net with a pair of kills to fasten the MSC sweep over the Bears (21-25).
 
Wensky Saintilmond was credited a total of seven assists and added four digs. Ethan Conners led defensively with six digs, while Dollar led with three blocks. Trammell carried the offense with three kills, while Jackson Adams and Kaleb Mitchell added two kills apiece. Adams also had three digs alongside Nathan Hill.
