CLEVELAND, Ga. (Feb. 13, 2021) – The Truett McConnell University men's volleyball team hosted Mid-South Conference foe Reinhardt University for the program's second ever match on Saturday afternoon inside the TMU Volleyball/Wrestling Arena. TMU fell in three straight sets to the Eagles (25-15, 25-11, 25-14), which put the Bears at 0-2, 0-2 MSC on the year and the Eagles at 3-3, 2-0 MSC.

TMU's first two points of the match were off a pair of kills from Kyle Trammell and Jackson Adams, but it didn't take long for the Eagles to get out front for good to take the first set by 10 (15-25). The Bears went on to get out front by as much as 3 right away in game two (4-1), which featured two Mitchell kills and one Adams kill. Reinhardt, however, went on a key 7-0 scoring run that put them in the lead the rest of the way as the visiting Eagles fastened their second win of the day by double figures (11-25). Reinhardt ultimately carried over the momentum into the third set opening it up on a 4-0 run in route to securing the conference sweep over the Bears.

Mitchell led the offense with six kills and four service aces, while Adams and Kyle Trammell added three kills apiece. Wensky Saintilmond was credited a total of 11 assists and led defensively with five digs. Ethan Conners followed with four digs and Mitchell had three.

Up next, the Bears will travel to St. Andrews University for their first road game of the season on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 7:00 p.m.
