SET BY SET
The first set saw the Skyhawks close out the first set on a 12-3 dominating run (15-25), however, that would be the last time Point tasted victory. Both teams went head to head until the Lady Bears held the Skyhawks at 15 with a 6-0 run, which proved to put the set out of reach as TMU clinched their first win of the night (25-16).
Â
The Skyhawks didn't give up as both teams went back and forth (13-13) but the 5-0 run sparked by a
Bethany Ross kill was the difference as the Lady Bears didn't let up the lead the rest of the way to get ahead 2-1 in the match (25-19). In the fourth set, Point inched in from behind by one (21-20) but three back to back Ross kills and a
Haley Vega service ace fastened the win (25-20).
