CLEVELAND, Ga. (Sept. 26, 2020) – The Truett McConnell University women's volleyball team clinched their second straight win on Saturday afternoon with a dominating sweep against Brenau University (25-20, 25-16, 25-9), which put the Lady Bears at 3-2 on the season.

The opening set saw the Lady Bears get out front for good on a 5-0 scoring run but it was Ranavia Neal's kill that sealed the first win of the day (25-20). Both teams went back and forth until TMU picked up the pace with three straight kills by Neal, Sonya Silecky and Jordan Roberts, and it was only up from there as TMU took the second set by nine points.
The Lady Bears put away Brenau with a dominating third set leading by as much as 16. In fact, TMU only allowed the visiting Tigers a total of nine points to secure their first AAC sweep of the season (25-9).
LEADERS
Silecky led the offense with 13 kills and fellow freshman Rachel Kessler led the defense with 14 digs. Silecky also recorded nine digs, while Neals and Roberts had three blocks apiece. Neal added eight kills and Roberts added five kills, while senior Hannah Conners had 10 digs. Senior Abby Maxwell was credited 36 assists.
