RUTLEDGE, Ga. (Oct. 20, 2020) – The Truett McConnell University cycling team traveled to the Hard Labor Creek State Park for the Hard Labor 6/3 Hour Mountain Biking Race, hosted by Chain Buster Racing, on Saturday afternoon.

The Bears, in fact, came out on top in the 6 hour 3 person co-ed race with a total time of 5:58:06.87, which consisted of seven laps of the 9.5 mile course for a total of 66.5 miles. The trio included Brennah Griggs, Foster Hutchings and Gabriel Loper.

"Gabe started off with a strong two lap effort," Head Coach Jeff Branyon. "On lap three, Foster developed a flat tire but finished his lap in less than an hour. Brennah has a smooth lap four, followed by Foster, and a new tire for lap five. Brennah turned a super-fast lap six leaving Gabe 45 minutes to attempt a seventh lap. Gabe ended up knocking out a 44 minute 9.5 mile lap to solidify the win for TMU!"

TMU is back in action at the Zombie Squirrel Apocolypse on Saturday, Oct. 31, in Auburn, Alabama.
