DAYTON, Tenn. (Jan. 22, 2020) – The Truett McConnell University women's basketball team traveled to No. 18 Bryan College on Wednesday evening to conclude their road trips for the week. The Lady Bears fell 85-61 in regulation to the top ranked Appalachian Athletic Conference team. The Lions picked up their 15th straight AAC win over the Lady Bears to improve to 19-1, 15-0 AAC, while TMU fell to 10-11, 6-9 AAC.
PLAY-BY-PLAY
Although the Lady Bears put themselves in a hole throughout the first quarter (13-29), TMU picked up the pace in the second quarter to only be outscored by one (19-20). In fact, Re'Tavia Floyd drained a 3-pointer to put the Lady Bears within eight (34-26) but Bryan pushed to maintain a double-digit lead heading into the half (32-49).
The Lions went on to lead by as much as 23 in the third quarter and 28 in the fourth quarter. Most notable, Camilla Howell scored in the paint with 4:23 to go in the game to spark a 10-0 scoring run by TMU to get within 18 (59-77), but the game ultimately proved to be out of reach.
LEADERS
Aisya Davis led TMU with 13 points, while Sierra Kendall and Floyd scored 12 points. Kendall and Floyd led with four rebounds apiece. Howell added 10 points and Quan Holton added nine points and led with five assists.

The Lady Bears return home to the Benjamin F. Brady Arena on Saturday, Jan. 25, to host Judson College at 2:00 p.m.
