GAINESVILLE, Ga. (Sept. 10, 2019) – The Truett McConnell University women's volleyball team traveled to Brenau University on Tuesday evening for their second straight Appalachian Athletic Conference road match. The Lady Bears came out with their second straight AAC sweep (25-11, 25-15, 25-17) to improve to 4-6, 2-1 AAC on the year.

After earning the first three points of the first set, TMU pushed to lead by as many as 15 points. A Madison Curtis kill from the hands of Abby Maxwell sealed game one (25-11). The Lady Bears went on to win the first seven points of the second set (7-0) and it was only up from there. A kill from freshman Ranavia Neal sealed game two (25-15). Neal started off set three with another kill and 12 more came after that for the Lady Bears (25-17).
TMU did not trail by a single point the entire match. In addition, TMU tallied five team blocks in comparison to the Golden Tigers' zero and the Lady Bears earned seven aces in comparison to Brenau's three.
INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
Senior Harris Anne Walker had another stellar night for TMU at the night with 11 kills and three blocks. Neal claimed eight kills to follow while fellow freshman Audrey Henderson added four kills. Maxwell was credited 25 assists and had seven digs while Hannah Lee led with 10 digs. Bethany Ross had three service aces.

TMU is on the road for two more AAC road games. First the Lady Bears will face Bryan College on Friday, Sept. 13, at 6:30 p.m., and Tennessee Wesleyan University on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 11:00 a.m.
