WALESKA, Ga. (Aug. 31, 2019) – The Truett McConnell University men's soccer team traveled to Reinhardt University on Saturday for the second time this week to face Dalton State College. Despite a tightly contested second half, the Bears fell in a 3-0 decision to the Road Runners.

After a scoreless 26 minutes, Dalton State was capable of finding the back of the net twice before halftime (2-0). Although the Bears ended up trailing by three, TMU matched the Road Runners' six shots in the final 45 minutes of play.

Sophomore Luca Brugmann led the way with two shots, both on goal, while Javier Rodriguez also had two shots, one on goal. Clancy Loudermilk, Cody Carnes, Cristobal Montes, Dylan McKendry, Thomas Herwig and Ivan Serubiri added a shot apiece.

Senior Evan Gaffney compiled a total of six saves on the day while sophomore David Windmiller recorded one.

Up next, the Bears are back on the road to Bob Jones University on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 7:00 p.m. TMU will host Life University on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 4:00 p.m.
