The first 17 minutes of regulation saw both teams exchanging back and forth the lead but once Aisya Davis forced a turnover with 3:01 to go before the half, Jordyn Wilder scored the go-ahead bucket and the Lady Bears picked up enough momentum to gain a five-point lead before the buzzer. In fact, TMU was capable of closing out the second quarter on a 7-2 run.

Webber went on to open up the fourth with a 9-3 scoring run and eventually led by as many as 10 points with 4:24 to go in regulation. Jessica Jackson drained a 3-pointer with 55 seconds remaining to put TMU within three (63-66) but the Warriors did not allow the Lady Bears to score again.
