CLEVELAND, Ga. (Nov. 9, 2019) – After recording 90 points for the first time since the 2016 season, the Truett McConnell University women's basketball team won their third straight game in dominating fashion (76-43) against Wesleyan College on Saturday afternoon inside the Benjamin F. Brady Area. The win put the Lady Bears at 3-0, 1-0 AAC on the season.

The Lady Bears worked to outscore the Wolves all four quarters of the game. After a
Quan Holton 3-pointer put TMU ahead by one point in the first three minutes of the game, the home team never fell behind again. In fact, another 3-pointer by
Camilla Howell put the Lady Bears at a 19-point advantage heading into halftime (43-24).
The third quarter was the closest race of the night. Although the Wolves came within 13 (43-30), the Lady Bears still managed to outscore by two (10-8) after Natalia Nixon closed out the third quarter with a clutch 3-pointer to put them ahead by 21 (53-32). Most notable, a
Sierra Kendall bucket in the paint triggered a TMU 11-0 scoring run in the fourth quarter, proving to put the game out of reach (66-36). The largest lead that the Lady Bears had on the night was 35 points.
LEADERS
Re'Tavia Floyd led all scorers with 21 points and had four steals. Kendall recorded her first double-double of her junior campaign with 13 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks. Holton had 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists, while
Aisya Davis was also credited three assists.
