BLUEFIELD, Va. (Nov. 9, 2019) – The Truett McConnell University wrestling team traveled to Bluefield College for their first Appalachian Athletic Conference dual of the season. Unlike last regular season, the Bears fell to the Rams 28-19 on Friday evening.

Despite the loss, a handful of Bears picked up individual wins while a pair of Bluefield pins ultimately proved to be the difference. Jacob Williams, in fact, was the only Bear to pin a Bluefield opponent while Brandon Navixay, Will Davidson, Nolan Cook and Ethan Powell all won by decisions for TMU.
