TOCCOA, Ga. (Nov. 26, 2019) – The Truett McConnell University men's basketball (5-2, 2-2 AAC) defeated Toccoa Falls College for the second time this season on the road Tuesday evening (69-63). Last time they met, the Bears came out on top against the Screaming Eagles in their season opener 71-68.

After a Marlon Allen 3-pointer and Cristian Colon bucket in the paint put the Bears ahead by 12 (23-11), the Screaming Eagles rallied to get back out front (25-27) with 7:09 to go in the first half. However, the Bears were capable of closing out the first half on a 7-2 run to lead by five at halftime (40-35).
The second half saw both teams tied at 50-50, but Brent Kelly's bucket in the paint sparked a dominating 17-0 scoring run by the visiting Bears to lead by 17 with 6:02 to go in regulation (67-50). A Toccoa 3-pointer allowed a two-possession game in the closing minute (69-63), but the game ultimately proved to be out of reach.

LEADERS
Sophomore Enocka Franky and freshman Allen were each a rebound away from a double-double. Franky led all scorers with 22 points, nine rebounds, two blocks and two steals. Allen scored 14 with the addition of nine rebounds and five assists. Colon scored 10 points and was credited four assists. Xavier Latore had seven points, five rebounds and two blocks, and Antonio Bonilla also had seven points and three assists.
