WALESKA, Ga. (Oct. 4, 2019) – The Truett McConnell University women's volleyball team met the Appalachian Athletic Conference leader, Reinhardt University, for the second time this season on Friday night in Waleska, Georgia. The Lady Bears fell in three (25-12, 25-19, 25-21) to the Eagles, who remain undefeated in conference play, which put TMU at 9-13, 6-6 AAC on the year.

The Eagles closed out the first set on 17-4 run (12-25) and continued to maintain the lead throughout the second set. The Lady Bears, however, sparked a 4-0 run to get within five points (17-22) but the home team ran away with it in game two (19-25). Most notable, Reinhardt earned just two more kills than the Lady Bears in game two (9-11). Game three saw the tightest race of the night with TMU working to trail by no more than six. TMU, in fact, went on a 4-0 run to get within three (20-23) but the Eagles ultimately secured the sweep on a kill (21-24).

Sophomore
Bethany Ross led TMU's offense with 12 kills and added eight digs.
Madison Curtis followed with five kills and led with five blocks.
Abby Maxwell earned her 15th double-double with 22 assists and 13 digs, while fellow junior
Hannah Lee led with 15 digs.

Up next, the Lady Bears have a quick turnaround as they host a tri-match on Saturday, Oct. 5. TMU will first face AAC foe Columbia College at 1:00 p.m., before facing Toccoa Falls College at 5:00 p.m.
