CLEVELAND, Ga. (Oct. 29, 2019) – The Truett McConnell University women's volleyball team beat St. Andrews University in four sets (25-20, 30-32, 25-17, 25-23) for their Appalachian Athletic Conference regular season finale on Tuesday evening inside the TMU Bear Cave. The Lady Bears improved to 16-16, 12-9 AAC on the year with two more regular season matches to go.

A Madison Curtis kill sparked a strong 6-0 scoring run for the Lady Bears to take the lead for good. SAU came within four but a Bethany Ross kill won the first set of the night (25-20). Game two saw the longest game of the Lady Bears' season. The Knights reached point 20 first on a 5-0 run (20-16) but the Lady Bears tied it up on three kills and a service ace (20-20). Nonetheless, it was the Knights who ultimately came out on top (30-32) for the only time of the night.
The Lady Bears, however, picked up the momentum to lead by as much as eight points (13-5). Another Curtis kill put TMU back out front in the end (2-1). TMU trailed for most of game four but Audrey Henderson's service ace fastened their final AAC regular season win of the season.
LEADERS
Four Lady Bears recorded double-digit kills, led by Curtis tying her season high of 16. Curtis also led with six blocks. Harris Anne Walker followed with 15 kills, Ross had 11 and Ranavia Neal added 10. Ross added 18 digs to record another double-double, while Abby Maxwell recorded a season high double-double of 56 assists and 27 digs, adding four kills. Hannah Lee led the defense with 28 digs and Anna Mumpower followed with 11.
