BLUEFIELD, Va. (Jan. 26, 2019) – The Truett McConnell University women's basketball team faced Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Bluefield College for the second time this season on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Bears fell to the Rams on the road (59-45) to fall to 4-17, 3-15 AAC on the year while Bluefield improved to 11-11, 10-8 AAC.
SLOW START | FOURTH QUARTER WIN
The Rams dominated the first 20 minutes of regulation holding the Lady Bears to a total of 14 points and held a 14-point lead heading into halftime (14-28). TMU picked up the pace in the third quarter working to only be outscored by three points. However, it was the fourth quarter that the Lady Bears won. Trailing by as big as 20 points, TMU managed to outscore the Rams by three (17-14) to cut the deficit down to 13.
LEADERS
Freshman Re'Tavia Floyd led with 21 points while sophomore Sierra Kendall and freshman Quan Holton added four points apiece. Holton led with five rebounds and freshman Sydney Rumble was credited two assists and tallied three steals.
