The game remained scoreless until the 4th inning when Tennessee Wesleyan drove in two runs to take a 2-0 lead. Â

In the 5th inning, Tennessee Wesleyan added a run to their lead for a 3-0 lead over the Lady Bears. Â

The Lady Bears would score their only run in the 6th inning, after
Kaitlynn Hay tripled to deep right field and then scored on a bunt from
Sara Sullivan. Â

The Lady Bears would drop Game 1 to Tennessee Wesleyan 3-1.

A low scoring game continued to be a theme of the double header between Truett McConnell and Tennessee Wesleyan in Game 2. Freshman ace
Karley Hobbs stepped to the mound to start for the Lady Bears. Hobbs has had a remarkable freshman season, posting an ERA of 2.36 entering her start on the afternoon. Â
Again, the game remained scoreless, this time through four innings. In the 5th inning, Tennessee Wesleyan broke open the score with one run, which would end up being the deciding factor in Game 2.
Neither team would add on to the score for the remainder of the game, as the Lady Bears fell to Tennessee Wesleyan 1-0. The Lady Bears currently hold an overall record of 18-10 and a conference record of 5-3.
