Lady Bears sweep Allen

Cleveland, Ga. - The Lady Bears hosted Allen on Saturday with an 11-7 overall record and a 3-1 conference record.

Game 1

The Lady Bears were able to put up big offensive numbers in the first game of today's double header. Bethany Hyde started the game on the mound for the Lady Bears, and she held Allen to only one run in the shortened 5 inning game due to mercy rule.

The Lady Bears offensive lit up the scoreboard with a total of 11 runs in Game 1 to take a commanding win over Allen 11-1. The Lady Bears were highlighted by Brie Levy who hit a homerun to add to her 3-3 outing in addition to Sarah Horne who helped lead the charge as they were prefect, combing 5-5 with 4 RBI's. Reba Jones also contributed with a pair of RBI's of her own.

Game 2

Game 2 was no different for the Lady Bears. Saturday was a great performance by the pitching staff for the Lady Bears as another double digit effort by the offense led to a shortened game in Game 2. Jaden Morrison had an inside the park home run as well as Brie Levy who hit a homer that cleared the centerfield wall for her fourth homerun of the year. The Bears would take Game 2 and the Saturday series by a score of 14-4.

The Lady Bears will be back in action Tuesday, March 13th against Georgia Gwinnett College at home.
