LAKE POINT, EMERSON. GA
Due to weather conditions, the Bears and Eagles played at a neutral site on Tuesday afternoon at Perfect Game's Lake Point Complex in Emerson, Ga. The Truett McConnell baseball team used a three-run in both first and second innings to run past Toccoa Falls, 10-7, Tuesday afternoon. The Bears are now 5-4 on the season.
Again Bears jumped out to an early lead against Toccoa Falls putting up a total of 10 runs throughout the first four innings of the game. Patrick Overstreet led the charge with 3 doubles along with 3 RBIs. The Bears also had contributions from James Civelli and Davis Dasher who also had 3 hits a piece.Â
Cason Brown started the game for the Bears and threw 4 1/3 innings allowing 4 runs on 6 hits. Greg Elder recorded his first save of the year with 2K's to complete the game.
The Bears will be back in action against Trinity Baptist Feb. 23rd and 24th in Jacksonville, FL. First pitch of the three-game series will be on Friday at 5 p.m.
