WALESKA, GA | The TMU women's basketball team dropped its final AAC conference match on the road against Reinhardt University Wednesday night. After defeating the Brenau University Tigers, Truett fell to a 50-62 deficit in Waleska, GA against the Eagles. TMU are now 4-23 on the season and 2-21 on AAC play.
After outscoring the Eagles in the first quarter, 15-14 Reinhardt picked up some pace in the second period as they went on a 8-0 run and held a seven-point advantage at the break, 31-24. The Lady Bears would hold the Eagles to an eight-point lead going into the final stanza looking for a big, late-season conference triumph, but it was not to be. Reinhardt's bench played a key factor outscoring TMU, 39-10 along with outscoring the Bears off second chance opportunities, 24-5.
Defensively,
Sierra Kendall led the way on the defensive glass with eleven rebounds as the team pulled down 34 boards respectively.
Senior
Anna Murr led the Bears offensively scoring a total of 15 points while teammate
Bralise Reese contributed with 10 points.
The Lady Bears will play their last season game this upcoming Saturday at home in Cleveland, GA against Bluefield College. Game time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
