Murr Hits Game Winner with .4 Seconds Left In 55-53 Win Over Brenau

CLEVELAND, GA. |    Senior guard Anna Murr (SR/Sanford, NC.) does it again, finishing with a last second buzzer beater in come-from-behind victory, earning the 55-53 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) win over Brenau University on Monday evening. The win ups the Bears record to 4-22 and 2-20 in conference play.

The TMU women's basketball team got out to a strong start over the Lady Tigers leading as much as 12 points in the first half. With solid play all around from TMU, the Lady Bears cruised into the half with a comfortable 9 point lead.
Coming out of the half shooting 42.3% from behind the arch, Brenau battled back outscoring TMU in the third quarter 13-4. Heading into the final period, the Lady Tigers got out to a seven point lead before TMU took control. The Lady Bears never looked back the remaining 4 minutes, going on a 7-0 run to tie the score 43-43 with .4 seconds left. After a TMU timeout, Anna Murr drove to the basket to finish a contested layup at the buzzer to seal an Appalachian Athletic Conference victory.

Bralise Reese led TMU with 16 points and 6 rebounds, while Sierra Kendall poured in 10 points and 7 rebounds of her own.
