MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Nov. 28, 2018) – The Truett McConnell University women's basketball team traveled to No. 25 Milligan College for another Appalachian Athletic Conference battle. The Lady Bears (2-6, 1-5 AAC) fell to the undefeated Buffaloes (7-0, 5-0 AAC) 84-50.
Freshman Ra'Tavia Floyd scored the first points of the game with a 3-pointer while senior Sarah Hartshorn followed with another 3-pointer 40 seconds later. The Lady Bears led by five (8-3) with seven minutes to go in the first quarter but that would be the largest lead TMU would see the rest of the way.
Milligan ended the first quarter leading by nine points and further pushed the gap to lead by 18 points at the half (27-45).
Freshman Sydney Rumble led the way with 12 points and three rebound while fellow freshman Quan Holton followed with eight points. Sophomore Sierra Kendall led and freshman Helena Lee led with four rebounds apiece.
Up next, the Lady Bears will return to the Benjamin F. Brady Arena on Saturday, Dec. 1, to host AAC foe Columbia College at 2:00 p.m.
