CLEVELAND, Ga. (Oct. 27, 2018) – The Truett McConnell University women's volleyball team swept Bryan College for a dominating senior day inside the TMU Bear Cave on Saturday afternoon (25-14, 25-18, 25-22). The Lady Bears improved to 12-18, 7-9 AAC on the year.

TMU earned the first five points of the set and it was only up from there. The Lady Bears earned 11 kills in comparison to Bryan's seven and led by as much as 12 points (23-11). A senior Jordan Henshaw kill ensured the first winning set. The second set saw the closest margin in the kills column (15-11) but TMU continued to push the lead and eventually came out on top after a senior Shayla Smith ace (25-18).
Set three was the tightest race of the evening despite TMU dominating at the net compiling a total of 16 kills. After 19-19, the Lady Bears took off and another Henshaw kill fastened the Appalachian Athletic Conference sweep over the Lions.
LEADERS
Smith led the way with 15 kills and freshman Bethany Ross followed with 11 kills. Henshaw added seven. Abby Maxwell was credited 40 assists while Hannah Lee led with 24 digs, Henshaw added 13 and Brittney Shivers had season high of 10. Olivia Beasley and Maxwell had three blocks while Heaven Walker added two.

The Lady Bears will be home for two more AAC matchups. First on the schedule is Milligan College on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 5:00 p.m., and then Columbia International University on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 1:00 p.m.
