CLEVELAND, Ga. (Oct. 23, 2018) – Three Lady Bears recorded double-doubles on Tuesday night against Toccoa Falls College but it ultimately proved not enough as the Truett McConnell University women's volleyball team fell in the fifth set to drop to 11-17, 6-8 AAC on the year (25-23, 25-23, 22-25, 20-25, 11-15). Earlier in the season, the Lady Bears defeated the Screaming Eagles on the road in five sets.

Jordan Henshaw, Abby Maxwell and Bethany Ross all earned double-doubles. Henshaw compiled a total of 14 kills and 18 digs, Maxwell was credited 47 assists and 18 digs while freshman Ross tallied a career high of 20 kills and 24 digs. This marked Maxwell's seventh double-double of her sophomore year and Ross' second of her freshman campaign. Harris Anne Walker added seven kills while Hannah Lee earned 23 digs. Olivia Beasley led with four blocks.

TMU dominated the first two sets outkilling the Screaming Eagles 17-9 and 15-6 which enabled the Lady Bears to come out on top two sets straight. Freshmen Ross and Taylor Roland's kills were responsible for earning the 25th points. Despite trailing the whole way in set three, the Lady Bears rallied coming in from behind to tie the game at 19 apiece but Toccoa was capable of earning four points straight to put the game out of reach (22-25).

Similar to the third set, the Screaming Eagles got out front early in the fourth game to gain momentum and TMU was unable to recover (20-25). The fifth game saw TMU lead by force (10-5), but Toccoa surged going on a 4-0 run and a 6-0 run to claim their victory (15-11).
