MONTREAT, NC | The Truett McConnell women's basketball team fell at the hands of Montreat College, 77-66, Saturday afternoon on the road in Montreat North Carolina. The Bears are now 3-16 overall and 1-14 in league play.
The Cavaliers took an early 7-0 lead to start the game until
Madison Curtis nailed a three behind the arch. Montreat soon caught fire and took on as much as a 14 point lead most of the game up until the fourth quarter.
With seven and a half minutes left in the fourth period, TMU cut the lead to one with back to back three pointers by
Sarah Hartshorn. Again
Madison Curtis stepped up for the Lady Bears to knock down another basket behind the arch to tie up the game 59-59 with five minutes left. The Lady Cavs took control the final two minutes of play to go on a 7-1 scoring streak to seal the victory over the Lady Bears,77-66.

The TMU women's basketball team will be back home this upcoming Wednesday in the Bear Cave at 5:30 p.m. against TN Wesleyan.
