Women's basketball drops to AAC foe Milligan College

CLEVELAND, GA. |    The TMU women's basketball team faced AAC rival Milligan College Wednesday afternoon at home in the Bear Cave. The Buffaloes got out to a quick 23-5 lead in the first quarter that eventually carried into a conference victory. After defeating Columbia College this past Saturday at the buzzer, TMU was unable to carry out their winning streak against Milligan. The lady bears are now 3-13 for the season and 1-11 in conference play.

Jumping out to an early lead in the first quarter, Milligan College lost momentum as TMU's Madison Curtis drained a three far behind the arc to help the lady bears cut the lead. Almost down as much as 18 points in the first quarter, the bears managed to fight their way back to cut Milligan's lead to 12 going into the half, 19-31. The lady bears were able to cut the lead down in double digits late in the fourth quarter, but fell short in search for a conference victory over the buffaloes, 59-47.
Sierra Kendall went for a double double to finish the game with 17 points and 11 rebounds for TMU. Mikayla Miles also landed in double digits for the bears finishing with 10 offensively.

The lady bears will be traveling this upcoming weekend to Bluefield, VA. as they fight for another conference victory against Bluefield College. Tip off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
