BARBOURVILLE, Kentucky |Â The Truett McConnell volleyball team lost a tightly contested AAC match against Union College, 3-0, Friday night, on the road. The Bears are now 0-7 and 0-2 in league play.
Union took an early command the first set with a 25-6 win over the Lady Bears. TMU continued to fight back in the second set but was never able to tie the score ending it at 16-25. Union again took momentum going into the third set until TMU's
Harris Anne Walker attacked with a kill by
Abby Maxwell's assist down the line. The Lady Bears tried to claw their way back into cutting the lead, but Union finished the match 25-11.
Madison Curtis lead the Bears with 5 kills, while
Abby Maxwell and
Jordan Henshaw both pitched in 3 each.
Abby Maxwell also added 13 assists to the team.Â
The Bears will  stay in AAC play as they take on Bluefield College Saturday Morning at 11:00 a.m. on the road in Bluefield, VA.Â
