Cleveland, GA. | The Truett McConnell volleyball team fell to 0-8 overall and 0-3 in AAC play with a 3-0 loss to Bluefield College Saturday morning in Virginia.

The Bears and Rams traded points early in the first set until Bluefield went on to take an 18-12 lead. After the Bears tried fighting their way back into cutting the lead, the Rams sealed the first set with the final 6 points leaving the score 14-25. Starting the second set, the lady bears came out strong until the rams went on an 8-0 run to extend the lead 13-5. TMU never was able to claim the lead against BC, but fought hard with their young team to compete. Both teams traded points in the the second and third sets, but Bluefield managed to pull out the win.

Olivia Beasley lead TMU with 7 kills while Madison Curtis added 5 and Harris Anne Walker contributed 4. Abby Maxwell added 20 assists for the Lady Bears. 

TMU will return home this upcoming Tuesday at the Bearcave against AAC rival Point University. Game time starts at 6:30 p.m.
