CLEVELAND | The Truett McConnell lacrosse team found themselves in an early 2-0 deficit to LaGrange Saturday afternoon and couldn't come back as the Bears fell, 16-2, to the Panthers.

LaGrange scored two goals in the opening two minutes of the contest and then scored the next five goals before the Bears got on the board. Kaitlynn Kubin scored the Bears' first goal of the game in the 25th minute of play.

TMU scored the first goal of the second half as well as Olivia Godfrey found open space to score the goal to make the score 8-2, but the Panthers defense clamped down after that to secure the win.

Emily Shamblin finished the match with 17 saves in between the posts.

The Bears will next take on Marian University at home on Wednesday.
