LAURINBURG, N.C. | The Truett McConnell women's basketball team won its 15th game of the season, setting a new single season record at TMU with a 75-64 win over St. Andrews Wednesday night.
The Bears battled foul trouble all night but used two big quarters to seal the win. TMU outscored the Knights 24-16 in the second quarter and 19-10 in the final frame.
Ariana Sanders led the Bears with a 19-point, seven-assist, five-steal performance.
Anna Murr finished with five three-pointers totaling 15 points.
Janae' Simpson was a rebound short of a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.
Quinlan Hughes added 11 points, while
Ayanna Wimbush pulled down 11 rebounds with seven points.
The Bears will next travel to Waleska, Georgia, to take on the No. 23 Reinhardt Eagles on Saturday. Tip time is set for 2 p.m.
