TOCCOA FALLS, Ga. | The Truett McConnell baseball team used a four-run second inning and two runs in the eighth and ninth innings to run past Toccoa Falls, 10-3, Tuesday afternoon. The Bears are now 15-4 on the season.

The big highlight of the day came in the sixth inning when freshman Calob Rowland hit his first collegiate home run deep into right field that stretched the lead at the time to 6-0 in favor of TMU. The Bears jumped on Toccoa Falls early and often, scoring runs in five of the nine innings played.

Shane Smith got the credit for the win in relief as four Bears took to the mound in the contest. Davis Dasher led the way at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored.

The Bears will open up AAC play this weekend on the road at Milligan. First pitch of the three-game series will be on Friday at 2 p.m.
